Plant-based chicken brand Daring has launched six frozen Skillet Meals, marking the largest number of new products it has ever introduced at once. Five of the six varieties are available only at Sprouts Farmers Market from today, with additional retailers expected to stock the line later in the year.

These multi-serve bags combine Daring's plant chicken with vegetables, legumes, grains, and pasta. They are designed to be cooked in a single pan in about ten minutes. Each bag contains 2.5 servings.

Nutritional profile and varieties

All six meals are gluten-free and non-GMO. The nutritional content per serving and per bag is detailed in the table below.

The specific meal varieties are Mediterranean-Spiced Chickpeas & Veggies, Smoky Veggie Chili, Power Grains & Greens, Lemon & Garlic Rotini, Teriyaki Veggie Stir-Fry, and Penne Pomodoro.

CEO Chris Coburn stated the launch is an important step for the brand. "It's another step in expanding what Daring can bring to the table," he said, giving people more convenient ways to eat well.

A shift toward convenience

The launch continues Daring's expansion into convenient meal formats. The brand, originally built on unbreaded plant chicken pieces, has previously added single-serve microwavable entrée bowls. Last year, it introduced microwavable Diced and Shredded Plant Chicken at Walmart and Albertsons, which is now distributed nationally.

The move into frozen meals was anticipated. According to the source report, a frozen meal range was signaled when Australian producer v2food acquired Daring in August 2025 in partnership with Ajinomoto Co. The combined technical resources were intended to speed up development of new products, including a frozen meal line. Daring has since entered Australian retail through Woolworths but continues to operate under its own name in the US, where it claims the leading position in unbreaded plant chicken.

Sprouts as the launch partner

Choosing Sprouts Farmers Market as the initial retailer provides a defined launch channel. Sprouts is a Phoenix-based natural and organic grocer. It closed 2025 with 477 stores across 24 states and has said it plans more than 40 openings this year, making it one of the faster-growing US chains for better-for-you products.

JJ Kass, VP of Sales at Daring, commented on the partnership. "Shoppers are increasingly looking for convenient meals that deliver on more than one need," he said. The company is thrilled to introduce the items to Sprouts shoppers, who are highly engaged in discovering innovative products.

The new Skillet Meals aim to bring together protein, fiber, convenience, and globally inspired flavors in one pan.
