Editorial Policy
The editorial policy of Palateshift defines what the site will and will not publish. Palateshift covers the shift of ingredients, formats or habits from the margin to the mainstream within the Asian market. It will not publish content related to betting or gambling. It will not feature reporting on individuals' private lives. It will not present health, legal or financial advice as instruction. All quotes used in reporting are verified and accurately attributed; invented quotes are prohibited.
The site separates its reporting from its reference material. The News section contains timely journalism and analysis on current events. The other sections, such as Movements, Ingredients and Business, contain established reference pages. These reference pages, on topics like a specific movement or ingredient, are built from verified facts and are updated as the subject evolves. They are distinct from news articles which report on specific, time-bound developments.
When a claim cannot be independently verified, it will not be presented as fact. Unverified assertions may be noted as such, attributed to their source, or omitted entirely depending on context. The priority is the accuracy and reliability of the information presented.
All images are chosen to illustrate the subject factually. A real photograph is always preferred and will carry a credit where one exists. Palateshift will never use software-generated images of a real person's face. Other illustrative graphics will be clearly identified as such.
Readers with questions, corrections or suggestions regarding editorial content are invited to write to the editors. Correspondence should be addressed to the editorial team via the contact details provided on the Palateshift website.
