TTM Ingredients Expands Product Range and Rebrands After Five Years

The Dutch ingredients company Time-Travelling Milkman has undergone a significant transformation, rebranding to TTM Ingredients and launching a redesigned website. This change marks a new chapter for the company, which was founded in 2020 as a spin-off of Wageningen University & Research.

The company's Oleocream, a sunflower-based cream system, remains at the heart of its operations. Produced through a patented water-based process, Oleocream extracts oleosomes, the naturally occurring fat droplets found in sunflower seeds, and preserves them intact. This structure functions similarly to milk fat, delivering creaminess and mouthfeel without emulsifiers or stabilizers. Oleocream is allergen-free, made entirely from European sunflower seeds, and contains mainly unsaturated fats.

TTM Ingredients emphasizes that its mission has not changed, with the company still committed to bringing real creaminess and rich, rounded mouthfeel to plant-based products, powered by Oleocream. However, the new identity reflects the company's growth and ambition for the years ahead.

The rebranding extends the range of end products that TTM Ingredients is targeting. Alongside plant-based cream cheese, the company is now offering Oleocream for use in ice cream, sauces, juices, smoothies, and fruit drinks to add body and creaminess across dairy-free and beverage categories.

### Sunflower Supply as a Hedge Against Tropical Fats

TTM Ingredients frames its European sunflower supply as a differentiator against coconut and palm oil. The company cites more stable pricing and shorter supply chains, which reduce exposure to the price swings and long-distance logistics associated with tropical fats. Sunflower seed is sown in March and harvested in September across multiple origins, making the supply chain more stable.

In September 2025, TTM Ingredients raised €2 million to accelerate commercial adoption of Oleocream, with production scaled to 1,000 tonnes per year. The company has also been developing a sunflower protein powder through its Sunflopro project with VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, backed by EIT Food and the European Union.

TTM Ingredients has stated that its new website is designed to make it easier for manufacturers to move from formulation to full-scale production. The company's application team develops recipes in-house or on customers' own lines, streamlining the process.

| Product Category | Description | | --- | --- | | Plant-based cream cheese | Oleocream for use in plant-based cream cheese | | Ice cream | Oleocream for use in ice cream | | Sauces | Oleocream for use in sauces | | Juices | Oleocream for use in juices | | Smoothies | Oleocream for use in smoothies | | Fruit drinks | Oleocream for use in fruit drinks |

TTM Ingredients is excited about the future, emphasizing that the same team and commitment remain, with bigger ambitions ahead. The company invites its customers and partners to join it on this new journey, thanking them for being part of the story so far.
